Review: Justina Luther.

I am going to do something that I haven’t done before and that is review a person. So please forgive me if this isn’t up to scratch and what you guys expect.

I recently received a comment from a writer on my blog so, ever the book junkie, I decided to check out some of her work. Upon visiting her blog I found some short stories to read. I decided on one of her most recent stories Two Connections and also one of her older stories, The Compact.

Two Connections is a simple love story about a an, Kevin trying to win back his ex girlfriend Stephanie. Kevin clearly loves Stephanie a lot and that gives me hope that there are men out in the world that would go to so much trouble for the woman he loves.

The Compact is about a mentally ill girl named Angela Miller. Angela and her boyfriend Ronni have a plan to blow up the town in which they live, and are both subjected to intense discrimination. The reason I was hooked by this story is because I’m not sure if Ronni is real, or if he is a manifestation of her illness. The Compact is my favorite short story by Justina Luther.

My favorite thing about Justina Luther’s writing is that every story is different. I have read a few and not one of the was the same. I think that is a wondrous thing, as any writers have difficulty creating space from their previous works. Also she does interviews with her characters so that you can get more insight into them and the story, and I think that is a marvelous idea and definitely adds to all of the stories.

Please go and check out her blog, as I’m sure you will find something that you will like.
Also, I am aware that she is trying to get her first book published, and after reading her short stories, this is something I am really excited for. So please give her all the support you can as she really does deserve to have her work published.

Keep reading xox.
